‘I restore balance to my life.’

To begin with, in respect we say Lord Vishnu. Respect he not only commands but deserves. As the Hindu faith believes in both good and evil existing within the world, it also acknowledges the need for balance between this. Here we have Lord Vishnu. The Preserver. Balancing life between the triad of Brahma the Creator and Shiva the Destroyer.  As a supreme being he is known for his energy, and ability to maintain the structure and balance of life. Hence his ability to preserve life.  Whenever the world is overtaken by chaos, evil and destructive forces Lord Vishnu reincarnates into life to reset balance and behold the preservation of life.

Amongst the beginnings and endings that are synonymous within life, there is a delicate balance of preserving life in between. The middle ground that is not only balanced but aligned and fruitful, it is preservation of life. It is not just the balance of life, but the great energy of life that is all things Lord Vishnu.  It is all things life preserved, which we allow through the rise and fall of change.  As we all seek to balance out our days, or more aptly as we seek to preserve our greatest life, our wellness, Lord Vishnu is a gentle guide and connection to honour this path and as such is well worth you sharing a drink with to seek balance and the preserving of life.

Why Ginger and Turmeric?

Ginger has long been used as a culinary must for flavoured cooking but it has also been known for centuries for its medicinal qualities. Its ability to soothe the gut, to aid digestion, soothe nausea and help to ease inflammation, perfect for allowing good bacteria the perfect ground to grow and thrive. Add this to turmeric and you have a match made in healing heaven. With its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory powers turmeric is one of Jun's best allies when it comes to healing. I could write about these two ingredients non stop. They are a powerful pair and only now are we recognising all that they have to offer us. Once upon a time, it was said, if Ginger could not be the remedy no such remedy was to be found, that’s how highly it was regarded. Coupled with all the research we now have with Turmeric, this is a must have in your wellness routine.
