Gut sense

And then things change, and we become so aware of our sense we become addicted to them.

Yes they stimulate our growth and provide protection, but in only focusing on the 5 highlighted senses we remove so much of our true protection and growth.  It seems perhaps conveniently we have been sold short on the whole truth of our senses.  Somewhere the senses have been told as a shortened version watered down to just 5.  Leaving arguably 2 of the most important ones, yet possibly the hardest to comprehend, to the way side.

Prebiotics

Absolutely!  Can't stress enough if we aren't doing the prebiotics we cant build and restore and grow our good Probiotic colony in our gut.  We can all do everything we can to put probiotics into the gut - but if the food isnt there that they are going to digest then they die so quickly they will do little good. So, whilst we hype on about Probiotics we need to keep that hype happening for the Prebiotics as well for us to get the true benefits.

Diversity

We can only accept diversity by seeing our own uniqueness.  We have to see ourselves as different.  See that we are all different.  That we are each unlike the other not just in appearance but in so many ways.

Wholeful

We are each a piece of the whole.  Together we create the most impact in healing and finding positive paths forward.  Whole-ful is a collective of like minds or like intentions that sees it become more than it once was, and therefore it grows in strength.  And this is the greatest gift of culture, its instinct to connect, reconnect and make whole again.

Sugar

“Addiction is a strong word,” says Alan Greene, M.D., “In medicine we use ‘addiction’ to describe a tragic situation where someone’s brain chemistry has been altered to compel them to repeat a substance or activity despite harmful consequences. This is very different than the casual use of ‘addiction’ (‘I’m addicted to “Game of Thrones!”’).” “So, I’m serious when I say that evidence is mounting that too much added sugar could lead to true addiction,” says Greene.

Nature

We have lost the art of getting down and dirty with life.  We are so clean.  And we have become too clean.  Our sterile world has almost given the 'bad germs' the upper edge on us.  Every time we are trying to eliminate bacteria we are destroying the good guys as well as the bad and we are allowing ourselves to become so sterile that we are losing our ability to defend.

You-n-Me

Embrace - connection is about embracing.  It asks us to open our heart, to make sure our shawls are draped around our shoulders and not covering our chest. It allows us to stay open to all thats in front of us and ready to become us. It allows us to embrace others fully with our arms out spread and hearts open.

Sleep

As with all things wellness, there is only YOUR way.  The way in which you approach sleep, and connect with sleep has to be conducive to only you. There are so many ways to sleep, styles of sleep, patterns for sleep and each of them are only going to work for that person, we simply have to begin to become more conscious of our need to be individual, that we need our own food plan, exercise plan, wellness plan and sleep plan.

Yes exercise and gut microbiota are hugely aligned and they help keep the first two functioning.  So the gut wouldn't be the same without exercise. D Word

For centuries diets have been used as a word and way in which we control eating.  For some it was a word that we had to use.  We had to be on a diet of some description in order to be 'doing what was expected' for us to be in shape.  Being on a diet was trendy.  For many others it was a word they pained to use as it brought more agony than success.

Bubbles

Contrary to what was believed in the past, they believe that carbonated beverages can have a negative effect on the digestive process. The carbon dioxide present in these drinks increases the acidification of gastric juices and accelerates their production, which also accelerates digestion but also causes acid reflux, acidity, and absorption problems, which can be especially painful for people that suffer from gastritis and stomach ulcers.

Needs

Ask any person of their wants and they can rattle off a list as long as their arm.  But to ask of what we simply need, is another story.  Aside from stating the obvious of air and food and water, very few of us can identify what our body needs, what our mind needs, and rarely what our soul needs are.The issue with this is a key factor in determining wellness.  Because true wellness is  based on need not want.
